Message from Teacher Sam
I am teacher Sam. I am 44 years.
I hold a diploma in Education Primary.
I am the class teacher Primary Seven class. I have been teaching at Bwindi Junior School for four years now.
The year 2021 was good especially in our academics. All our children performed very well and passed exams above average.
We were the second best in our district and we are leading in English and Mathematics subjects.
My teaching subject is English. I love working with Bwindi Eco Children Uganda and our payments these days are very prompt. I use my salary to meet my personal and family needs. I have been able to send my two sons to secondary school, and we are always informed that we have been able to receive our salaries because of support from Bwindi Uganda Children Charities (BUCC).
We love you the people of America for your generosity always.
Sam.
Message From Desire
My name is Desire
I am in P.7 Class.
When my father rejected us in 2018, I had lost hope of going back to school.
I thought learning had come to an end because life became hard for me and my two young siblings. I stopped working and started working in the neighbors’ farms for food for myself and my two sisters. My two sisters stayed in school for some one more month but later when the exercise books they were writing in got used up, I could not manage buying a book or a pen for them. So they also had to stop schooling. We stayed together at home and sometimes we could not have any food for lunch or supper.
By God’s endless mercy in December, 2018, Francis accepted us into the orphanage both I and my two siblings. Fortunately I was able to get a sponsor whom I am proud of. He pays my school fees and he sends me gifts. He is called Hans Bruggemann.
I am working very hard at school so that I can pass with good grades and become a doctor in future.
Message From Alice
Hello everyone,
My name is Alice.
I am a single mother. I have 3 sons and 2 daughters. My first born is in Primary six and my last born has not yet started school.
I was born in poverty and I still live in poverty. I work as a gardener at Buhoma church and I get small payment per day I work.
My income is too small to sustain my family. I am not able to meet the family basic needs.
I happened to be the beneficiary of the donation you sent to Bwindi Eco Children Uganda.
They provided me with a hoe, a panga, seedlings and home based farming training.
I was able to grow vegetables and now I produce enough vegetables for my home consumption and at times I have excess to sell. When I sell vegetables from my garden, I am able to earn extra income. Your support has greatly improved my family life. This term I was able to provide scholastic materials like books, pens and papers to my children using income from my home vegetable garden.
Thank you very much for educating us home farming skills and providing us with tools and seeds.
Message From The Director
Dear friends,
Greetings to you all!
Allow to start by saying a big thank you to you all!
The year 2021 was not an easy year for all of us.
However, thanks to your support, Bwindi Eco Children Uganda continued to provide education and care to the children we serve.
This was only possible because of the generous donations we received from BUCC and other supporters.
Amidst the challenges and restrictions surrounding the global pandemic, BUCC, children’s sponsors and other supporters stood with us throughout the year.
We understand what a sacrifice it is and we thank you very much. Your generosity shows the love you have for us. May the good Lord reward you abundantly!
Bwindi Eco Children Uganda has not only survived the pandemic but we have also thrived and have taken greater heights in terms of development.
BUCC greatly supported us to recruit a school nurse and build a medical clinic. This provided us with a friendly officer with skills and compassion necessary to support the orphanage and school with needed health care. Our school nurse has been of great help during this global pandemic. She has taught our teachers, staff and children how to prevent the spread of Covid19. She has provided essential medical care to our 48 children who became sick of Covid19 where 46 of them have healed completely and the two are improving and we are hoping for their complete recovery. She was recently voted the best worker of the year at our school and received a prize from BUCC. The BUCC medical clinic shall continue providing health services to our children and all school neighbors.
Donations from BUCC benefited close to fifty families with seeds and tools and these families were able to make their gardens and produce food for own use at their homes. They no longer sleep hungry and their children are no longer malnourished.
BUCC helped us construct a borehole and we extend water to the neighboring community and our neighbors now have access to clean water.
Also with support from the Snisky family through BUCC, we have been able to construct a perimeter fence around the school for the safety of our children and school property. We appreciate the generosity of all the sponsors of the children we serve and we assure you of quality service to all the children.
Otherwise all the children and teachers are in good health and we are assured of treatment at BUCC clinic in any of any sickness or health challenge.
BECU needs your support in 2022 as well.
Your donation will bring health, happiness and hope to the children of Uganda.
FRANCIS BYAMUKAMA.
Director
